This Privacy Policy explains how Honor Technology, Inc. and its affiliates ("Honor", "we", or "us") collect, use, share and protect information collected through our technology, applications, websites, content, products, and services in connection with the provision of non-medical home care services (the "Services"). The person receiving care (the "Recipient") may be you (the user of our website) or another person for whom you have the authority to order Services, such as your relative, friend, or client.

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Information you provide us directly

Honor collects information when you provide it to us or a member agency of the Honor Care Network. Some of the information we collect includes confidential medical information that is subject to the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. This happens when you use our website, use our Services, or communicate with us, such as through our website, mobile applications, email, SMS, over the telephone or in person. The information you provide us may include information which can be used to personally identify you ("Personal Information" or "PII"), such as:

a. User Account Information: We collect Personal Information like your name, email address, phone number or your mailing address when you request more information about or sign up for our Services.

b. Care-Related Information: We collect care-related Personal Information about the condition of the Recipient, their ability to perform activities of daily living, the Recipient’s background and tastes and preferences in daily activities, the Recipient’s date of birth and gender, contact information of other relevant members on the account, other health information, the care schedule required, and any special entry or exit instructions to your home.

c. Payment Information: We collect your payment information (including credit card, automated clearinghouse (ACH) and/or checks) in order to process payments for Services.

d. Surveys and Feedback: From time to time we may collect Personal Information such as name, email address, and/or phone number when you fill out a survey that helps us improve our Services.

    You agree not to provide us with information about any other person unless you have that person’s express permission or other legal authority.

    1.2 Information from Other Providers, Family, and Friends

    Honor collects information from other “Health Care Providers” (i.e. your doctor, hospice care company, skilled nursing facility, private caregivers, etc.) and your family and friends involved in your care. The information they provide us may include the types of information set forth in 1.1(a)-(b).

    1.3. Information from cookies and similar devices

    Honor uses cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts and similar tools to collect information about how users use and interact with our services through our website, applications, and other devices. When users access our website our servers automatically record certain information.

    This data is recorded in server logs and may include information such as:

    a. Technical Information: We collect technical information associated with your activity on the Honor website, applications, and other devices, including your browser, operating system, IP address, and other unique device identifiers like device and hardware ID, device type, carrier, carrier user ID, and the content of your request, and if applicable, your phone number.

    b. Usage Information: We also collect information about your web request to our website, your interaction with our website, the website that you were visiting when you came to our website, the date and time of your request, and your cookie data. We also collect information about how you interact with our mobile applications, including how much time you spend in particular parts of the mobile applications.

      Cookies and similar tools can be used to remember you and your preferences and are used to improve and personalize your experience with our website, mobile applications, marketing, and Services. Some of the cookies and similar tools that Honor uses are set by third parties and are governed by those parties’ privacy policies.       Honor’s website and digital outreach may also contain links to third party websites, which are not governed by Honor’s privacy policy. When you access our website our servers automatically record certain information. This data is recorded in server logs and may include information such as your web request, your interaction with the website, the website that you were visiting when you came to our website, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and language, the date and time of your request, and your cookie data.

      2. Use of Personal Information

      Honor may use your Personal Information for various business purposes, including:

      a. Providing You the Services: We use your Personal Information for the purposes of providing you with home care services, including but not limited to scheduling, determining which caregiver is most appropriate for a given assignment, and whether or not a Recipient’s needs can be met by our staff, responding to emergencies or urgent care-related situations, and obtaining payment for our Services.

      b. Improving the Services and Training: We constantly evaluate the Services we provide, and use your Personal information to develop better ways to deliver high quality care to you, including training our staff, optimizing our technology, creating and monitoring record keeping, and assessing our performance;

      c. Finding New Care Pros: We use information collected from cookies and similar devices to better engage job applicants on our website and those who might become Honor Care Pros someday;

      d. Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Our Services are subject to various laws and regulations which require us to maintain your Personal Information including personal identifiers and details about your care.

        3. Sharing of Your Personal Information with Third Parties

        We may share your Personal Information with the following third parties:

        a. Authorized and Other Associated Individuals: People or organizations involved in your care, including a family member, other relative, domestic partner, friend, any other person identified by you, your Health Care Providers, your personal representative, or another person responsible for your care. Provided that you don’t object to such a disclosure, we may also share your Personal Information with an individual that an Honor representative reasonably infers, from the given circumstances and based on the exercise of professional judgment, is authorized to receive such Personal Information;

        b. Honor Care Network Agencies: Home care agencies who have partnered with Honor through the Honor Care Network to jointly provide home care services to clients;

        c. Affiliates: With our corporate subsidiaries or affiliates. Any Information provided to Honorʼs subsidiaries or affiliates will be treated in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy;

        d. Third Party Payors: Insurance companies, workers’ compensation funds, and other third party payor organizations for payment for Services and for record-keeping purposes;

        e. Vendors and Other Service Providers: We share your Personal Information with web hosting services, application development, analytics, security, data processing, legal, actuarial, accounting, management, administrative, accreditation, and financial services in the ordinary course of operating our business and providing you the Services. These companies are obligated through agreements to maintain the confidentiality of any Personal Information they receive from us and are restricted from using it for any purpose that is incompatible with the uses set forth in this Privacy Policy.

        f. Governmental Authorities: We may share your Personal Information with a governmental authority when we have a good faith belief that it is necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental requirement, including audits and investigations; (b) enforce any applicable terms of our Services, (c) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Honor, its partners, its users or the general public, (d) to authorities if we believe you are a victim of neglect, abuse, or domestic violence, (e) to public health or law enforcement officials, or in response to a court or administrative order, valid subpoena or other legal process.

        g. Corporate Transactions: If Honor undergoes any merger or sale of its stock or some or all of its assets, we may transfer your Personal Information to the successor entity so long as it continues to maintain that information in accordance with the Privacy Policy under which it was collected.

        h. Posthumous Services: We may share your Personal Information: (1) with coroners, medical examiners, or funeral directors in order for them to perform their duties consistent with applicable laws, and (2) if a Recipient has chosen to donate their organs and tissue after a passing away, with such organizations organ and tissue recovery organizations.

          We will comply with any other Personal Information disclosure rights, obligations, or processes not specified above if required or permitted by law. We will obtain your written authorization before using or disclosing your Personal Information for purposes other than those provided above or as otherwise permitted or required by law. You may revoke an authorization in writing at any time. Upon receipt of a written revocation, we will stop the use or disclosure covered by the authorization except to the extent of actions already taken in reliance on the authorization.

          Personal Information collected through our SMS programs to provide you with the Services won't be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

          4. Your California Privacy Rights

          4.1 California Shine the Light Law

          Residents of California may request a list of third parties to which certain personal information, as defined under applicable California law, that was disclosed by Honor for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Honor does not sell any client or customer data to third parties. If you are a California resident and want such a list, please contact us by email at For all requests, you must put the statement “Your California Privacy Rights” in the body of your request, as well as your name, street address, city, state, and zip code. In your request, you need to attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address. Please note that we will not accept requests via the telephone or by facsimile, and we are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, or that do not have complete information.           4.2 California Consumer Privacy Act

          Effective January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California residents the right to, upon a verifiable consumer request, request that a business that collects consumers’ personal information to give consumers access, in a portable and readily usable form, to the specific pieces and categories of personal information that the business has collected about the consumer, the categories of sources for that information, the business or commercial purposes for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with which the information was shared. California residents also have the right to submit a request for deletion of information under certain circumstances.

          Honor does not sell its clients’ Personal Information to third parties.

          Your right to know and right to deletion of Personal Information are not absolute and are subject to certain exceptions. For instance, we cannot disclose specific pieces of Personal Information if the disclosure would create a substantial, articulable, and unreasonable risk to the security of the Personal Information, your account with us, or the security of our systems.

          Right to Know – You have the right to know the Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.

          Right to Deletion – You have the right to request that we delete any Personal Information we have collected from you or maintain about you. We may save Personal Information when permitted by applicable law including, without limitation, when the information is needed for a legal purpose.

          Right to Rectification – You have a right to update any Personal Information that is inaccurate in your Honor account.

          Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Your Personal Information – You have the right to opt-out of having your Personal Information sold. Honor does not sell or rent Personal Information to third parties.

          Right to Non-Discrimination – Honor will not discriminate against those who exercise the foregoing rights. Specifically, if you exercise any of the foregoing rights, we will not deny you Services, charge you different prices or rates for Services or provide you a different level or quality of Services.

          Exercising Your Rights

          You may exercise your right to know or your right to deletion by sending an email to with the subject header “CCPA Privacy Rights” and include in the body of the email the CCPA privacy rights you are exercising. You may also call (877) 777-5116 to do so. Please note that you must verify your identity and request before further action is taken. As a part of this process, government identification may be required. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request to know or a request to delete. In order to be able to act, authorized agents have to submit proof that they are authorized to act on your behalf, or have a power of attorney. We may deny requests from authorized agents who do not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on their behalf.

          7.1. Emails and other notifications

          You agree that Honor may send you communications relating to your account and the Honor services. These communications may be through email, telephone, SMS or notifications through applications. You can elect not to receive certain marketing messages from Honor by email by following the instructions in the email or by contacting us, but you cannot elect not to receive administrative messages relating to your account or legal matters. You consent to receiving all legally-required notifications from Honor through display on our website, through the email you provide to us, or through the email associated with your Honor account, which may be the email associated with any of your third-party IM Websites or social networks through which you connect to Honor (such as Facebook).

          7.2. Comments, Questions and Complaints
